Ward 10 Community Projects
Ninth Line Road Widening Project
This major infrastructure expansion project is an important milestone for Ward 10. The road improvement initiative will widen Ninth Line from two lanes to four lanes for a 6.7 kilometer section of the road for enhanced mobility and safety for all road users. The scope of the work will improve storm drainage, street lighting, transit stops, intersections, traffic signal infrastructure and support the increased traffic flow once the adjacent lands are developed with houses.
Churchill Meadows Community Centre
Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Mattamy Sports Park received Ontario’s top architecture prize – the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Architecture for innovation and for design excellence. It’s a building that is truly at the heart of its community.
Pumping Stations to Address Flooding
Lisgar’s third of four pumping stations is expected to become operational in the summer of 2026. Similar to the first two pumping stations further north along the Sixteen Mile Creek, this significant infrastructure is designed to remove water from the trunk of the Foundation Drain Collector sewer system, reducing surcharging that causes basement flooding during large rainstorm events.
New Ward 10 Development – Novella Homes
A new community is coming to Ward 10! GreenPark Group is introducing Novella – modern, single detached homes in Lisgar. This thoughtfully designed development brings new opportunities for families to live, grow and thrive in Mississauga. I look forward to welcoming our new residents!
