Sue McFadden
Thank you for your unwavering support and the strong mandate (90.1%) you gave me in the last election four years ago.
I don't take it lightly and work hard every day to represent you and earn your continued trust.

About Me
There’s one candidate vying to represent Ward 10 residents on Mississauga city council that has the track record, experience and commitment to build on the significant progress made since the last election. That candidate is incumbent Sue McFadden.
McFadden is seeking her fifth term as City and Regional Councillor for Ward 10, following six years as School Board Trustee. That’s 22 years of public service to Lisgar and Churchill Meadows! She has recently served as chair of the Peel Police Services Board and chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Committee. Since 2000, McFadden has faithfully served as a member of the Traffic Safety Council, making recommendations to guard the safety of students as they make their way to and from school each day. She has always been and will continue to be a strong advocate for safe communities and crime prevention.
“Public safety is my passion,” says McFadden. “When people feel safe, they can enjoy a better quality of life. It takes everyone – police, social service agencies, government, citizens – to make our communities safer. I am committed to bringing us together so we can build communities where we don’t just survive, but thrive.”
McFadden is also proud of what she and her Ward 10 team—office staff David Raakman and Daniela Giansante—have accomplished over the past term of Council. “We opened a state-of-the-art community centre and sports park, with a pool that I included based on public input. Several road safety initiatives have been implemented to address aggressive driving. And, of course, we have worked hard to maintain and upgrade our recreational infrastructure with amenities such as spray pads for the kids so Ward 10 continues to be a wonderful place to call home.”
McFadden has lived in Lisgar with her husband Dave, a retired Mississauga firefighter, for almost 35 years. They enjoy spending time with family, especially their seven grandchildren. McFadden knows and understands the diverse community she represents, a community that gave her a strong mandate (90.1% of the vote) in the last election to continue working hard on their behalf.
